Collegium Pharmaceutical Inc., HEALTHPOINT, Ltd Announce
Licensing Agreement for Two Late Stage Products

CUMBERLAND, RI-- (BUSINESS WIRE)— January 4, 2005—Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical product development company, and HEALTHPOINT®, Ltd. a leader in the research, development, and marketing of branded pharmaceuticals for tissue management, dermatology and surgical applications today announced that they have entered into a Licensing Agreement for the commercialization of two of Collegium’s topical analgesic products. Collegium developed each of the products and will remain responsible for all pre-launch activities including coordinating manufacturing of the launch quantities of  products. 

A patent application has been filed by Collegium that covers both products.  The patent is currently pending. 

HEALTHPOINT’s marketing team and sales force will be responsible for the commercial launch and all subsequent post-launch activities for both products. 

The companies expect that the first product will launch in the first half of 2005.

Collegium’s business model is to develop differentiated, patent protected products with enhanced clinical profiles, take them through “proof of concept” studies and then out-license the products for commercialization by a strategic marketing partner.

Collegium will be paid certain milestones in addition to royalties on the sales of the products.
